Jennifer Power Scott grew up in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, and received her Master of Journalism degree from Ottawa's Carleton University. She started working in journalism as a reporter and associate producer with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and later launched a freelance career as as a writer and TV documentary producer. She has worked on innovative series for Discovery Channel Canada and the Travel + Escape Network, and she is a frequent contributor to magazines such as Canadian Living. Her first book, Green Careers: You Can Make Money AND Save The Planet, was published in 2010. Jennifer also has a passion for music and has been a professional jazz singer for ten years. She lives in Saint John, New Brunswick, with her husband and two little girls.
